What's it all about?

Chiropody is about treating the foot when things start going wrong. We treat a variety of common and not so common complaints like: corns, ingrown toenail, nail thickening, fungal nail, verruca, cracked heels, athlete's foot, and so on.

Your Treatment

When you come into the clinic, or when we visit you indoors, we will assess your condition based on your information, or from what we find, then tell you what we are going to do and why.

Do not be afraid to ask about the use of any instrument or medication during any procedure, or if there is anything you do not understand.

Medication and dressings are usually applied at the end of your treatment.

We will offer advice about looking after your feet and may suggest the purchase of any medications or dressings if necessary.

Finally, we may recommend follow up visits at an agreed future date.

Nothing gives us more pleasure than to hear patients say at the end of their treatment:

"It's like walking on air!"

It is the aim of this Practice, as far as possible, to cure the condition then and there. In the case of say, corn removal, this is usually what happens. However, a case of verruca for example, takes longer, and effecting a cure is usually over a period of treatments.
